Repeat prescriptions can be ordered by emailing the surgery; electronically with SystmOnline; asking at reception; posting your repeat prescription slip or placing the repeat template counterfoil in the prescription boxes within the pharmacy and the surgery.
We apologise but we do not take prescription orders by telephone as this can be extremely time consuming and might delay a response to an emergency phone call.
We aim to have prescriptions ready for you at least 48 hours after they have been ordered, however at busy periods this may be slightly longer.
Please therefore order your prescription in plenty of time before your medication runs out especially around bank holiday periods.
You can now have your prescriptions sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice eliminating the need to come to the practice to collect your repeat prescription and saving you lots of time. Some pharmacies will also deliver your medication to your home.
If you are on regular medication and your GP agrees, you could opt for Repeat Dispensing. This is where the pharmacy of your choice will be given 2-6 months worth of prescriptions at once enabling you to get your medication for this period each month without contacting the surgery for a prescription.
Your prescription will be sent directly to your nominated pharmacy within 48 hours.
Please allow 24 hours for the pharmacy to process the request. If you would like to sign up for EPS (Electronic Prescribing Service) just ask your pharmacist or a Practice Receptionist. For more details please click here Summary_leaflet.
