Finally the sun is shining and we are reaching an end to coughs, colds, sniffs and snuffles.
Looking forward to the brighter days Forest Medical are excited to inform you that even though we only intended to open up every other Saturday morning to help patients in the winter period, the feedback from patients has been so great that we are going to continue to offer the service.
the Saturday mornings we have planned so far are as follows :-
9th April
23rd April
7th May
21st May
We are also going to use one of these Saturday mornings each month to hold Patient Information Days!! We have invited organisations to visit us for the morning and provide anyone interested (not just our own patients) with information and guidance on –
Dementia
Carers Support
Self Help Groups
Respiratory Problems
Interpretation Services
MacMillan Support
Each month we hope to get more and more organisations involved and if you can think of any area that you think would be of interest please contact ppg_rshc@hotmail.co.uk.
Our PPG members will be around to provide refreshments and home made cakes as well as information on joining our online Patient Participation Group (PPG).
Joining our PPG gives you the chance not only to influence the way in which your Practice runs and the services we provide, but also the information from PPGs is fed up to the Citizens Reference Panel which directly influences the decisions made by NHS England Local Area Team.
The minutes of our latest meeting; our Spring Newsletter and our 15/16 year end report can be found here:

If you do not wish to be involved in the PPG you can also get your ideas and comments across by popping a note into one of our suggestion boxes; completing the “contact us” form in this website or by simply filling in our Forest Medical Patient Questionnaire 2015-2016.
I would like to thank everyone who has completed a Friends and Family feedback form either by text or in the Practice. I am pleased to say that 97% of our patients who have responded would recommend us to their friends and family which is very uplifting and rewarding to all our staff who work extremely hard to provide a good service to you. You can find these forms and post boxes in the the waiting rooms at both sites or you can provide your feedback by responding to the text message you receive after your appointment.
We have also received 4 stars on the NHS Choices website but I would like to make it to 5!!! If you do have any positive feedback please enter it here but if you are disatisfied in any way please do not hesitate to contact me. If I don’t know something is broken then I can’t fix it 🙂
Kind Regards – and enjoy the warmer weather!!
Nicola Ryan, Practice Manager
