As many of you are aware Dr Primorac has been on long term sick leave since October 2015.
Regretably Dr Primorac has now made the decision to retire from the Forest Medical Partnership, his final day being 26th August 2016.
I am sure you will all join me in wishing Dr Primorac and his family the best of luck and we send him our sincere thanks for all he has done over the years for the Practice and our Patients.
It is also with much regret that we will be loosing our extremely valued and respected Dr Hakeem-Habeeb (Dr Wendy).
Dr Wendy has decided to move closer to her family in London and will be very much missed. Should she wish to return to the Practice (if she ever moves back to our area) our door will most definitely be open to her.
On a much more pleasant note we are delighted that Dr Matthew Lea, our former GP Registrar, will be joining us on a permanent basis as a salaried GP from 1st September 2016.
Dr Lea is an extremely conscientious GP and a pleasure to work with. We have already received many positive comments from our patients regarding his return to Forest Medical.
Dr Jyothi Badrinath has also joined us as a long term locum which is an honour as she is in demand by many of the Practices in our area.
Dr Badrinath will ensure the continuity of the IUCD and Implanon clinics following the departure of Dr Wendy.
Katie Pickard has also rejoined us after a spell with the Integrated Care Team. Katie specialises in Diabetes and along with our Diabetic patients who know her we are over joyed to welcome her back.
There are also new additions to our reception team in the next few weeks.
Leigh-Ann Prentice, an extremely experienced receptionist, will be joining us first followed by Samantha Freeman, also an extremely experienced GP receptionist and Medical Secretary.
I very much look forward to working with them both and welcoming them to our team.
